After many announcement of draconian rules being lifted, I have started reading about people ordering online from abroad (Temu, Shein, Amazon) and receiving them in Argentina. However, I still have not read any detailed post on the subject. Is it as seamless as it would be in Europe or the US? Or do you still need to file a declaration using an AFIP domicilio electronico or other fu***-up procedure?

In June, I spotted an amazon cardboard box in the streets of Caballito and I couldn't have been more surprised! I pointed at it and showed it to my husband in excitement.

I was looking for couriers to mail my business documents from Argentina to the US and stumbled on the page of Parcel Monkey. Their page on shipping parcels *to* Argentina shows the following image, which leads me to think not much has changed after Milei's lifts.

Adri ordered direct with Amazon a few months ago and the parcel arrived at our door without having to fill out loads of forms. I was really surprised.

I think a lot depends on where the parcel comes from.

Mrs GJ got a parcel from Teimu last week . One month in total from order to arrival . Fairly decent communication advising the whereabouts of the parcel, during it's journey from China to here.

Was that door to door through Amazon? Did she have anything else to pay on arrival?

Teimu is a Chinese company . Similar system as Amazon.

    It arrived here via Andreani.

Mostly women’s fast fashion. But I’m sure they’d be happy to give Tunnocks Tea Cakes a try if you suggest it, UK Man.

    Women's , men's and kid's fashion.

I was surprised by the quality to be honest.

Much better than the clothes you buy here.

Yes, UK Man, that's the one! I use it when I am in Italy. It should take 1-2 weeks. In my experience, it is close to the 10 day mark. You're in the dark about the exact delivery date until it has arrived and cleared customs.

It doesn't take much to get better quality garments than in Argentina! I was hearing people on Av. Avellaneda complaining about the loss of jobs because of imports taking away their business. They pointed on the price competition, and insisted that their stuff is better quality.

To me, it was limited design, selection, poor fabric, no return, horrible traffic, min. purchase amount in some stores, no fitting rooms. Honestly, they were lucky to have it while it lasted.

I'd like to give it a go but only if it's guaranteed to be a door to door service. My one and only International purchase from here left me traumatised. ^^

Some time ago Adri ordered a couple of rugs for our bedroom and a PlayStation game from Amazon. She says it took about a week to arrive door to door, no forms to fill out and because it was less than US$400, no excess taxes. Shipping was free of charge.

That sounds promising. Do you have to pay in dollars?

37 EUR on Temu for Argentina and delivery in 9-39 business days vs. 24 EUR for Italy and delivery in 7-10 working days.

3.77 EUR for Argentina, 1.13 EUR for Italy

When I mentioned Temu to the missus she said she had heard good things about it. So she's gone ahead and ordered a jacket. If it turns out to be a great buy :any-help:

    I told her.

It seems many people she knows have had stuff from them as well as the other site SHEIN. Nobody has had a problem receiving their purchases.
