T&L magazine does an annual survey of favorite cities to visit. If you’ve visited some of the top cities on this list, which did you like? Do you have other favorites that would be on your own favorites list?

I recommend Cachi because it's not crowded with tourists!

Cachi is just the kind of small place we love. We stayed in a guest room on a llama estancia there in 2008. The view of the full moon above the mountains was so irresistible that we threw the (2nd floor) window open for the night. Were about to fall asleep when we were startled by a cat leaping through the window. The next morning, looking out at the untamed woods between us and the mountains, we realized we were lucky it wasn’t a bobcat or something larger and hungrier.

But back to the article, almost all are big cities. I’m glad we got city tourism out of our system when tourists mostly came in ones and twos, and were welcomed instead of resented.
