It's estimated that in Argentina around US$270 billion is held out of the financial system, aka under the mattress.

No such luck here, except for maybe an old pair of socks!

Are your greenbacks under the mattress or behind a picture frame?

If I stashed away money, I’d totally forget not just where it was stashed, but that I’d stashed it.

We've only got fluff and a shotgun under the bed. I wouldn't have a clue how to use the latter though.

    A shotgun? Why?

I ask because Adri's ex had guns stashed all over the house when they were together, including a .45 on top of the fridge!

But back on topic. Our dollars don't last long because we change them to pay bills!

Her dad was a hunter and had all sorts of guns. She got rid of most of them after he died and she got the house. She decided to keep one and kept it under the bed. Even after we got married and got a new bed it's still there in its bag.

As for the dollars, they're in the bank safe deposit box. The missus changed my pension dollars in the bank last week now that the rate is similar.

USDT is what seemed was most recommend the past few years for people needing crypto transfers into Argentina, A stablecoin to convert into spending pesos. I never bothered to try.

Is that what the video is discussing? Probably more people discussing since Trump and family are promoting as another of their get rich schemes.

Although the video gives us a resume of how we love cash and the Blue market, it does seem to be a thinly disguised promo for Stablecoins.

With the removal of currency controls I see even less reason to consider transacting in crypto in Argentina. The economy can grow with the natural flow of real money.
