More and more Americans are becoming alarmed at the liberties the president is taking with the constitution and the law. Last weekend, there were 1000 “No Kings” protests planned across the country for tomorrow (Sat June 14). After the president wrested control of the CA national guard from its lawful direction by the state’s governor, the number of protests rose to 1800.

Also on Saturday is the Putin-style huge parade of military might that is being staged on Donald Trump’s birthday (but being called a parade in honor of the US Army’s 250th anniversary, although of course this is not the way the army has celebrated its first 249 anniversaries —).

Of course Americans who want democracy ARE worried about that as well. But that may well be too late.

Trump’s military parade drew subdued crowd to Washington while hundreds of thousands protested nationwide

Thanks, aficionado . Even Murdoch didn’t try to spin what the WSJ termed a “subdued crowd” at Trump’s vanity parade in the WSJ coverage (in weird contrast to Murdoch’s FuxNews coverage).

I love the US Army (my husband proudly served in the army), and hate to see what should have been a great celebration of its proud 250 years, by all the country, turned into a taxpayer-financed birthday party given by trump for himself.

    Here is some interesting footage:

The North Koreans and Russians know how to do a military parade. If you're going to do one at least get the soldiers to march like clockwork.
