Was out and about town here there and everywhere with the missus yesterday late afternoon. During which she parked the car and went to the lab to collect some test results the receptionist had forgotten to give her earlier in the week. I stayed in the car and when she came back she showed me a cloth purse she had found lying on the kerb. She unzipped it and inside were three cards. A DNI card,Banco Provincia card as well as a PAMI card. So at least she knew who the purse belonged to as well as what the owner looked like.

As she had a physiotherapy appointment to go to she didn't have time to do anything. So after dropping me off back home off she went back out. Cut a long story short she sent me a message saying she'd be late back as she found out through the lost DNI number where the lady lived so was going to drop it off on her way home. When she arrived at the address, the woman who answered the door turned out to be the sister of the owner of the purse. She gave her the address where she now lives which just so happened is not far from our house. When my wife arrived the woman hadn't a clue she'd lost it so was delighted to receive it. She's a teacher at the school near to where it was found and said it must have fallen out the bag when she was looking for her glasses. So a happy ending which pleased the missus.

    Well done The Missus!

I had no such luck with the urn of some poor fellow's ashes, so I put it back on the grass opposite the house and never saw it again, thankfully.

Nice she took the time out of her day to find the owner and return her lost purse.

Totally agree. Very thoughtful, UK Man .

The Super Bowl was held in our city in February, with tourists as well as football fans thronging through town. We found an iPhone on the sidewalk and had no way of guessing how to find the owner. So we turned it in at the nearest police station, and could only hope that whoever lost it would check there, rather than assuming a pickpocket had made off with it.
