After spotting a decent price for some British pipe tobacco from a chap in Tigre I decided to place an order. He wasted no time in packaging it and posting it to me on the 7th of April issuing me with a tracking number. Now over a week later and here's the latest update....doesn't seem to have moved for the last four days.

I do use Correo Argentino once or twice per month. Though never to deliver to home, only to the closest physical office. For your case you could go to an office, though they probably only have the same information as you see.

Andreani shipping has been the worst for us. Several times items have been in stuck with no updates for weeks. The only option that works is to go into an office. That does usually helps, either by locating or forcing a cancel that automatically tells the shipper it is lost.

MercadoLibre often gives option to send to physical location like a kiosco or other small store who acts as an agent. PickIt is the network of agents who do that. Works reliable.

ViaCargo we use for big things at the best price. Have even done to arrange forward shipping of oversized purchases to arrive far away for vacation. To be at their bus station office or their nearby office when we arrive.

Funnily enough my missus gets ML stuff delivered to the house with Andreani and they've always been exceptionally good as have OCA although she has to go to their office to pick it up. Always the worst has been Correo, they're just a flippin' total disaster.

Right I forgot OCA. I have luck with them only because they might retry delivery if I was not home. Retry is 2-4 days later and the email notification of their plans to deliver that day gives no flexibllity to organize. Or I go the office after failed house delivery.

One reason Andreani is terrible is because they give the impression of having email support yet then answer is generic form mail that gives no help. They have the highest rate of losing our packages, including oversized items, and only an inconvenient trip into their office finally gets a desk person to investigate. I still use, but with low expectations.

Andreani have been very reliable for the missus coming on the morning of the day they said they would. It's always the same guy who comes from Mercedes and as it's usually me who goes to the door he enjoys speaking in English to me. ^^

OCA here doesn't deliver to the door, you have to go to their office to collect. Which is best as you know it'll be there when you go. Correo are just a f'ing disaster from start to finish. You never know when they're coming to the door so 9 times out of 10 you miss them and end up having to go to their office to collect it anyway.

I have been using Andreani to receive domestic mail (documents). I usually ask to deliver the envelope at the nearest Andreani office, which is just 5 blocks from here. This way, I am not house-bound waiting for the mailman to arrive. Also, I can go pick it up right when the office opens, at 9 AM. Sometimes I have received mail overnight from Córdoba. Impressive!

When ordering on ML, I favor pick up in a given location (usually, a kiosko or other local business) for the same reason. However, it must be noted that this option is usually more expensive than home delivery, and that sometimes the whole process to show the QR code for pick up requires a certain level of fiddling in the app from the store/kiosko. Not very time effective, but still better than sitting quiet at home all day waiting for the doorbell to ring.

Yeah I have never considered Correo Argentino for home delivery thinking it would not work out well. I just give the street address of the Correo office to people and sellers instead of my home address.

Jaja I just got this email a few minutes ago

I see it's still sitting in Vicente Lopez. Considering it only weighs 100gr yet cost 6,600 pesos postage it's all a bit of a joke.

I just looked at the tracking website. Today was the first update since the 11th. At least I know it was not lost.
