John Oliver's take on Italian elections. I am not sure if he is the comedian or Italians are.

Now that the elections are over and more than half of Italians voted for populists -- but populists with starkly different messages -- will Five Star and the League be forced into some kind of alliance in order to take power?

They are not forced to, however no party reach the minimum number of parliament seatings to have the majority of votes, so it is a government unable to legislate.
On March 23rd they should define the alliances between parties, so that a majority can be reached.
I do not like this system because there are changes of political leadership after elections.

They really ought to clean up those flags.
Oh, and the statistics are also interesting.

Good grief! It's a good thing Italy has maintained its railroads and local bus systems.
