It's snowing in New Orleans, Texas and Florida!

    Here in New Mexico it got down to -1 degree f (that's minus 18c) yesterday. Just a dusting of snow, but COLD!

    Coincidence?

    Here in New Orleans, we got the first snowstorm of any consequence since 1895. We measured 11 inches on our balcony.
    This is the first time we have seen snow in New Orleans, in 28 years of living here. People are skiing down Bourbon Street and snowboarding in Audubon Park. A local grocery store displayed this sign in their produce department:

    (Not original, but I wish it were —)

    He wanted to name the Gulf of Mexico after himself, but the Bay of Pigs was already taken.
