Matias Antico is one of the best car reviewers and here he tests the Fiat Fastback T270, which I rather like. We are in the market for a new car, but we feel that hangin on a bit longer may be the best bet.

Fiat Pulse, which we are also interested in.

I used to have a Fiat Tipo back in the nineties in Spain.

Nowhere near as nice as this.

Never been a car driver so wouln't know. However I always remember Glasgow drivers laughing whenever someone said they had a Fiat.

I think Fiat had a strong run these past two decades. Enough to merge with Chrysler as the stronger half, and not long after that they all merged together with the Peugeot group. Now known as Stellantis headquartered in the Netherlands. So difficult to know what is what.

I owned a Fiat built 2018 RAM cargo van. It was superior mechanically and in fit and finish to the Mercedes built Dodge Sprinter van it replaced.

Keep that type of thing in mind if you plan to get residence here. A used vehicle like that would be very nice here. Only a few RAM truck models available. You need to have owned the vehicle for a certain period of time, before starting (or receiving?) Argentina residence. Then you can import the vehicle without custom fees. A one time allowance if completed within the first ~6 months. All theoretical based on my causal research effort, one year late after my DNI.

Prices are still ridiculous though and in many cases, twice the price of the models in Europe or USA. That's why we've decided to hang on for a while longer because it will take time for adjustments to filter down, tempting though it may be.

When and if second hand car prices fall , will insurance fall as well. My insurance company keeps telling me my car is worth more than I paid for it and I pay insurance according to the value they say. So I expect my monthly premium to drop as well......

When we bought our Toyota Yaris, it was about the same price as in Italy; maybe a few hundreds euros cheaper. Of course, this was just by sheer luck and star aligning in our favor situation , a point-in-time even that bears no statistical significance in the madhouse that is Argentinian economy.
