Maduro is apparently trying not only to force Machado into exile but also to warn all opposed to Maduro that they aren’t safe anywhere in the country.

His newest tactic is to cut off water, electricity, and food from the Argentine ambassador’s residence, where 6 dissidents have had asylum for 8 months. The police have cut electricity and destroyed the fuses to eliminate the connection to the power grid. They have also cut off the water and are preventing all food and water deliveries.

The brave opposition, including Maria Machado, is taking to the streets to protest against Maduro's ascension to the presidency tomorrow.

Unfortunately, this may result in her being grabbed and accuse of terrorism or such like, to never be seen again.

Of course he did. And there will be more. He was given a gift by trump last week, in the announcement that over half a million Venezuelans will be deported and sent back to Venezuela. These are not undocumented immigrants, but people who have been given Protective Status by the USA over the past 40 years, so of course this is their home. They and their families will not be treated well by Maduro.
