I am glad that apple has finally moved on to eliminate lightning with the transition to USB-C and USB-C thunderbolt. For non-apple I've been careful to only buy USB-C devices over the last few years, even if the cost was more than the leftover USB devices. I realize there are now different specs for wattage power and bandwidth of data of different USB-C cables and ports, but at least they all are compatible sizes.

Thank you for the support!
