Looks like the head man in the Argie Air Force has been booted out.

His crime using air force planes to go and see his girl friend. Apparently he (mis)used the planes on at least 32 occasions.

Anexo:Equipamiento de la Fuerza Aérea Argentina - Wikipedia, la enciclopedia libre

This might be an exaggerated inventory...

But it does include the 24 fighters they bought from Denmark earlier this year that may arrive some time soon

Thanks, GlasgowJohn . Many more planes (even pre-Denmark) than I’d realized.

When I first arrived in Argentina, in 2002, I was dragged off the street, up a flight of stairs into a language school where I was forced to play the role of "Native English Speaker" in a group class. One of the beginners in that class was an ex-FAA pilot from the days of the Great Unpleasantness in the 1980s who had converted to flying airliners.

...I thought you had to be able to speak the international language of aviation before they would allow you to fly those things! How come, only then was he beginning to start learning it?

One of my neighbours is a pilot and he's just got a new job flying a Challenger 406 around the world for an Italian millionaire and although he's Argentine, he speaks perfect American English. So well in fact, that you wouldn't think he was Argentine.
