There must be a joke in here somewhere. Perhaps stemming from his wearing these creatures strapped to his body?

The mind can’t help wandering to the thought of what kind of market there is, and why the buyers want them. Troubling.

I wonder how they caught him? Tipped off or his frantic scratching of himself?

According to the article, the airport security guards noticed that his body looked a bit strange.

If those puppies had been biting him, I don’t think his reaction would have been merely scratching!

Has anyone ever seen a bullet ant, btw?

I couldn't stop scratching the back of my neck the other day after being bitten by an ant. Ended up with three red lumps. :cursing:

Maybe it was a now-famous Bullet Ant, UK Man . I’m glad it wasn’t a tarantula!

Thank God we don't have either of them here. The ordinary ant bites are bad enough!!

Acne makes you look younger. Thanks the ant :yay:

In Misiones, I visited an animal sanctuary where they held rescued animals from smugglers. There were species from North America, Asia, and local ones confiscated for export. Unfortunately, they cannot be reinserted in their natural habitat for a variety of reasons (from being taken from a group, like parrots, to no longer being able to fend for themselves, like in the case of snakes).

Yes! In Iguazú there is a small but apparently quite effective refuge for animals saved from traffickers. It’s called Güirá Oga, and it is well worth a visit.
