Mucama - cleaning lady or house help

    Do you have a cleaning lady? If so, how did you find her?

    When we were in San Isidro, a family member had a wonderful one who cleaned, cooked, ironed. However, she stopped working when our family passed (she had a long commute).

    Then we 'inherited' the cleaning lady who was doing the cleaning of our apartment when it was a STR (under the previous owners). I liked her, but in the end she couldn't commit to a fixed schedule because she mainly cleaned STRs so she had different schedules. After a bit, she started having health issues and often cancelled. Then during the pandemics we lost touch with her.

    I would really like to find another one because it was a nice treat to have, but my husband is very afraid of theft and we don't have any recommendation from trusted friends and family for someone working in Palermo.

    It would be very difficult to get someone like her in the capital without someone personally recommending them. With this being a small town it'd be much easier. We're very lucky to have her so we take care of her.

    I'd like once per week. Ideally, someone who besides the usual weekly cleaning does also some heavy cleaning when required (such as removing the stuff under the bed and clean there, clean the windows, deep clean the kitchen etc.)
