I did subscribe to ChatGPT upon recommendation of a friend, but I fail to see the benefits. Yes, I did use it for some emails in Portuguese (that I don’t speak) to clients, and it is better than DeepL free plan in that respect. However, it was very poor at OCR-ing scanned documents (extract text from a scan or image), when I asked it to generate an IG post it provided a nice design but with garbled text, it was able to improve an email in English making it sound more formal, polished, and free of grammar errors but….

I get many sponsored posts on FB about paid apps that use AI to create suggestions on interior decoration or what hair color/style would suit better your face. But all I got from ChatGPT was that the best hairstyle for me is the one that makes me feel better… well, thanks ChatGPT I could give myself that answer.

What am I missing about AI?!

I use DeepL for translations, but that's about it.

I wouldn't know what to do with it to be honest.

I do see lots of positive applications of AI, for example, in the field of medicine. Still because it is still terra incognita for most, and with few regulations, I’m not (knowingly) using it.

I'd be sussed straight away if I used it. ^^

Lisa Su is CEO of AMD and has turned the company around from when it was on it's knees at the moment she took over. The company now beats Intel in the chip market, mainly thanks to its Xen architecture, also known as Ryzen to gaming enthusiasts.

    And Nvidia...
