    Who still listens to the radio?

    Do You Still Listen To The Radio? | Daves Computer Tips
    I’ve been listening to the radio for as long as I recall, perhaps because I can still remember life without TV when radio was all we had. Back in the old days,…

    I used to enjoy the Radiogarden app some years ago. I just re-downloaded it and read this

    Obviously there’s work-arounds

    I still have the radio garden app, but haven’t used it in ages. Still, this is unwelcome news.

    I tested it with a vpn and is working fine. It’s a marvellous application.

    I think what I would like to find there but have not yet is a US station with a really good and popular phone in programme like LBC has in the UK. I know because of the electoral system and the size of the nation I must look at stations in some key states to focus interest.

    So I’m open to suggestions on that given the election ahead.

    @Bombonera , what is LBC’s phone-in program like?

    It used to be London-centric some years ago but now is not only focused on UK-wide news but also has an international perspective AND audience: it’s very common for Americans to phone in. Some presenters attract bigger audiences than others. The big hitters are Nick Ferrari on the breakfast slot and James O’Brien who follows him. Despite all the radio- jocks there denying any left-wing leaning at the station generally it certainly is that way with most of them.
    Anyway the point is most of the presenters attract callers from worldwide and especially the US.

    In my home in the UK I have at least one working radio in each room so you could probably put me down as a listener to the radio.

    It's World Radio Day and I still love listening to my transistor radios, of which I have four or five in various guises.

    The first electronic item I bought after settling into the 2007 argentina apartment. Though it was not a portable battery operated transistor radio, it was still a compact size for analog dial tuning in local FM/AM with the only other option of stereo RCA input. Just before the wave of players that now exclude radio frequency receivers.

    Well I looked it out and I was right I don't know how to work it but I'm working on it. It's a DEGEN DE1103 and the manual can be found onlne. I'd like to think I can listen to the BBC World Service if it still exists.

    When I first left the UK , I bought a fancy radio to listen to the news and the football in a Saturday.

    Now you don't have to bother....
