Milei wins university veto on public funds increase

    He says it's because there's no money left, which we can all agree on, I think. I asked Adri about this because it's also to do with foreigners from other Latin American countries and receiving free tuition because it's too expensive in their own countries.

    But that doesn't seem to get mentioned in the press.

    There are rumours that he is looking to introduce fees for everyone.

    He will start with non Argentines and then bring in the new fees for everyone.

    Sounds nasty , but apparently more than 30% of matriculated students in the UBA are over 30 years old.


    The universities get paid on the number of students who are registered. It doesn't matter what age they are or how many classes they attend.


    Scotland still has free university education for those born in Scotland. But you have to pass a strict entrance examination or qualify via independent state examinations.


    Here all you have to is sign up , I think.

    Yes the missus has always harped on about the number of foreign students here getting uni education for free.
