Sometimes, she might serve as an interpreter for the children's parents when they visit medical facilities or government offices.

I hope you enjoy your work this year at UBA! This is an amazing city and country, UBAjob .

Can the university’s student services personnel put you in touch with students who are looking for a 40-hours/week job? I’m afraid we don’t have any UBA students on the forum.

You may need to dig a bit deeper in your pockets than $6.25/hour for this tutoring/nanny/tour guide/occasional interpreter job. That’s about double what we are currently paying for a lady to clean for us, and you definitely need someone with a higher and more diverse skill level, for a job requiring someone very responsible, to care for your children.

Good luck, and do let us know how we can help you now and after you move!

Thank you. Our oldest son is 15 years old. With the help of a UBA student, he can take good care of his 5-year-old sister and 3-year-old brother. He does not speak Spanish at all, only English and French. He may study at UBA in the future.

Your son must be exceptional, to be able to be in charge of his younger siblings while attending a new high school in a country where he doesn’t yet speak the language. He must be capable of handling a heavy load.
