My missus says she's never seen such a big avocado. I found it in the garden this evening.

I have to say it didn't weigh as much as I thought it would. Only just over 3/4 of a kilo. :(

Well, at the price of them it must be nice finding them in the garden as long as they don’t hit you on your head on the way down.

What do you commonly do with them UK Man ? I’m not a fan of them except in the form of guacamole.

Just the variety. No use to commercial avocado growers as they take so long to mature. There's the same variety in the MIL's garden where the seed must have come from.

Had it a big core? Last week, I bought 3 avocados convinced they would be good for 2 lunches. But once I cut them open, the seed/core was so big, that I had to use all three.

The missus likes them mashed with honey whereas I prefer them savoury. The dogs like them plain and we also give some away,

The seed is large but not that large.

I don’t have a sweet tooth at all but note that use of it with honey.

It’s great you can give some stuff away locally. No doubt thats massively appreciated.

Oh! And having read the post title, I thought you’d been to Burger King!

They're dead easy to grow in town. Bury the seed and they'll grow away themselves without any attention. The frost out in the countryside got the ones there.

How many years between planting the seed and getting a tree large enough to produce avocados?

According to the missus she planted the first ones around 15 years ago. We've had fruits for several years now so at a guess I'd say 10 years. We don't keep records though.

If I waited 10 years, I’d forget why I’d planted the seed!

Well we're now getting to the age when we'll be happy if we're able to walk to the shop and buy them in 10 years time. ^^
