  • Renault have recalled Oroch's for a check....think it's a software update. Anyway, the missus gave the guy at the dealership a call last week. He told her to bring it in tomorrow at 8am. The missus not being an early riser asked him for a later appointment. He told her no can do as the guy comes from BA and is only going to be there in the morning and wants the four cars he's to see there when he arrives. She said to him well if he's going to be there till 12 why can't I come at 11am? He said because you might not be the only one that wants to come at 11am. She said why don't you just give everyone a different appointed time then? I'm just passing on what I've been told he said.

Yesterday she called him again and told him there was no way she'd be there at 8am and that she'd be there for 9am at the earliest. He said that's okay as he wont be here until 9am. She said you told me last week I had to be there at 8am. He changed the time he told her. The missus said why didn't you tell me? He didn't reply. ^^

  • It must be the rain. They may never show up. Just like our bricklayer. He had to come to install some tiles in our bathroom, but called to say that his house is flooded with rain so he will come tomorrow. Checking on the weather forecast right now...

  • They eventually showed up around 3/4 of an hour late. Turned out we were second in line to be taken. Thankfully all they had to do was plug their laptop into a socket underneath the dashboard and upload the software. Only took ten minutes. Seems it was somethīng to do with a fault in the direction software.

  • The miracle of computers!

Glad it wasn’t an all-day process.

Indeed. As they were only expecting four cars I suspect they just told everyone to be there at 9am so the software guys didn't have to hang about until midday. They didn't care about the customers having to hang about though. Wouldn't have been so bad had it been a pleasant morning but it was cold and raining. They didn't even have a room where you could go and sit with a coffee.
