  • I am currently chasing a couple of late-paying clients and I have looked for an email tracker to see if the other person is seeing my emails and decide to ignore them, or if they end up in their spam folder and aren't even looked at.

First result on Google was https://mailsuite.com/ which I installed as a Google Chrome add-on. I then accessed my Gmail account, authorized the extension to access it, sent two not-so-friendly reminder of overdue payment... et voilá. In 15' both had read my email.

I hope they will reply and MOREOVER send their payment.

  • That's a great suggestion, Rice ! I actually have a hard deadline myself, and I seriously need that one late-payer pays his due before he turns into a non-payer.

Also, I was unable to find an alternative contact for him, so I reached to their spouse on Linkedin. The spouse didn't reply to my message, but they deleted their account 2 hours after I sent my message. Which prompted me to reach to my client again, making sure my email was received and read.

  • I think the action of the spouse deleting their LinkedIn account informs you of their position and attitude.

  • NYC and finally this year NY State have created protections for freelancers who do not get paid by their client. 5-6 other states in USA also have protections, though not the majority. Does Buenos Aires have a system to help you with delinquent clients?
