Just asked the missus how much ours costs. Personal/Flow with Internet,cable and cellphone is 32000 a month.
I don’t know how much Personal/Flow costs in BsAs, as that’s the only remaining utility included in our rent.
[Apropos of nothing, but just to make you feel better about the cost of things, internet+cable at our apartment in the US is $219/month and 2 cell phones are $111. So $330 here vs approximately $32 there.]
I thunk we spend $20/month for the basic Telecentro and $30/month for the 1000 Mpbs one in the STR, but it is still a promo price
Since we have no idea when Claro will restore our Internet, I decided to go with Telecentro, 300mb fibre optic with no extras at $14k per month, first month free of charge.
It's scheduled to be installed tomorrow, barring any hitches and will be seven days without a connection.
Very briefly, Claro fobbed us off with dates that it would be fixed - last Weds at 6pm for example, then the next day at 11 am etc etc.
It turns out that the pole in question is opposite our house and NOT miles away as they previously said and since the pole is owned by the municipality, who knows when it will be replaced.
I just hope that Telecentro don't need THAT pole.
By the way, we're currently using our 4G hotspots for Internet, hence this post, but it runs out quickly and we don't get reimbursed.
Did someone hit the pole or did it work loose by itself? Here the majority of light/electricity/telegraph polēs are lying at an angle. Mostly due to them not being installed properly for one reason or another.

We think a truck snagged a large cable, dragging it down because I found the tattered remains of it hanging from a tree.

I'm not surprised. The roads here are cluttered with cables criss crossing them every few yards. A friggin' mess.

Our Telecentro 300mb cable internet service has doubled in price since last June and we are now paying $70000 per month and I see that Claro has an offer of 500mb fibre optic, discounted for 12 months at $22000, so I'm tempted to switch again!
We too have Telecentro (cheapest plan) and pay about 75.5 k ARS per month. I have been patiently waiting for iPlan, but it seems it doesn't yet stretch until my part of Palermo.
Sometimes it is worth a call to your current provider to get a discount, maybe mentioning that you've been eyeing a competitor's attractive offer...
It usually works with Movistar, and my husband is very good at juggling things with sales representatives over the phone.

That's a good tip if you can talk to a human and thanks for the iplan info. They do Vicente Lopez and Olivos, but not La Lucila yet.
