According to today’s NYT, about 75 million people from the Great Lakes to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast live in a location under an excessive-heat warning or heat advisory. We are living through that ourselves, this week and next, and I can tell you that the heat is intense.
Unlike people in most of the affected areas, we fdo have available the instant relief of jumping into the lake, and it’s tempting to just wade in and stay all day.
