Banks to close for 3 days in one week.

A heads-up.

During the third week of June there will only be two business days from the celebration of the holidays on Monday the 17th, Thursday the 20th and Friday the 21st.

The calendar of bank holidays of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic was established as follows for June

Monday, June 17: Passage to Immortality of General Don Martín Miguel de Güemes; Thursday, June 20: Passage to the immortality of General Don Manuel Belgrano, Friday, June 21: Holiday for tourist purposes.

We could have done with a couch in the bank yesterday. Had to wait nearly an hour to be taken and it wasn't that busy either.

The missus was almost diddled out of 4000 pesos when the teller told her the massive bundle of notes she handed over was short. She demanded them all back to count them and it wasn't short at all!!

Still got a few years to go before we get that entitlement.

I got my UK pension deposited yesterday a week earlier than usual. I assume it's because of next weeks 2 day week. When I can actually get my hands on the dollars is a different story as it has to be processed and cleared first. God only knows how long that'll take.
