Polo Obrero, headed by Eduardo Belliboni, is just one of many so called social groups who frequently march around protesting against the government of the day. During the previous K administrations, including Macri's government (he didn't have the balls to tackle this), these social groups received vast amounts of government subsidies, ostensibly for the poorest people, but the distributors of this money were the administrators of these Mafia organisations who, it has been discovered, have embezzled millions of these funds:

According to data that Capital Humano handed over to Judge Casanello, Belliboni's organisation and another cooperative linked to the Polo Obrero only rendered $113 million of the $360 million that the state sent them for the beneficiaries of the social programme.

This can of worms, and many others, is being tackled head-on by Milei's government and quite rightly so, because these people are nothing but Robin Hoods in reverse.

They steal and use extorsion from the poor and shows just what national populism has done for this country.

Inhibieron los bienes de Belliboni, líder del Polo Obrero, por la extorsión a los beneficiarios de planes sociales
La decisión la tomó el juez federal Sebastián Casanello luego de llamar a indagatoria al dirigente para el próximo 25 de junio

Let’s hope that these criminals are brought to justice. And soon.

    I very much doubt it.

The plot thickens and I'm not in the least bit surprised:

The case that was initiated for extortion of social plan beneficiaries has taken a 180-degree turn and directly targets the Polo Obrero and the cooperative El Resplandor Limitado for allegedly defrauding the national state after the courts detected that these organisations diverted part of the funds received to two companies that allegedly made fraudulent invoices to draw expenses.

The two companies in the spotlight are the printing company Rumbos S.A. and Coxtex S.A., to which the Polo Obrero (Workers' Pole) diverted - at least - some $25 million of the $360 million it received as a management unit within the framework of the Potenciar Trabajo programme. The final destination of this money is unknown, as it is believed that both firms made up false invoices to justify non-existent expenses and then diverted the money to unknown places.
