I don't understand animal cruelty. It must take a twisted mind to plan such thing.
The case of Coco really touched my heart. Coco is a monkey that was held as a pet animal in a fancy house in Belgrano as a party entertainment. They kept him locked in a wardrobe when not "in use". As such, he is severely deformed. They also broke his arms and legs when he was little to avoid him developing strength. As a result, Coco is flat, he can't stand. He has been rescued during a drug raid and brought to a sanctuary in a private house.
However, since animals are just "things" according to the law, he risked being returned to his previous owners (or torturers). The judge was smart enough to declare Coco a "non-human person" to prevent this. It was a first in the judicial system.
Some good things happen in Argentina.

These type of people are obviously abnormal.
I can't read articles like that and can only imagine. I witnessed a lot of animal cruelty in Spain. Dogs chained up all their lives and what donkeys had to suffer is unimaginable.
Unbelievably horrible.
It’s our duty to respect and care for animals and I’m sickened by any kind of abuse against them.
Last night I watched a TikTok live video of a lady in New Orleans bathing and removing fleas from an Opossum. I was hooked and must have watched for an hour or so. This tiny little creature seemed to have a never ending number of them on her body and they had made her anaemic.
And so I learned a few things watching as well. So here was a marsupial animal in New Orleans for example. I didn’t know that.
Your patch isn’t it Rice ?
In zona norte I spotted a “comadreja” which a South American possum. I thought it was an ugly dog at first. Then he grinned at me and moved to the other side of the curb.
Yes, @Bombonera , the Southern states in the USA have many opossums. And yes, serafina, they have a really creepy grin!
Looks scarier than its North-American counterpart.
Neither is a likely winner of a beauty contest.

Not bad barbecued and eaten!!! Black leg possums are better for eating!!!!
I don't understand, and personally, don't want to understand why people are cruel to animals
Psychologically damaged people.
That's true
