Apparently this is a thing nowadays and there's a huge debate going on regarding humans vs AI writing books. Is there such a things as a free lunch?

Many of these YouTubers would have you think so, but I prefer to write my own stories.

$100k from eBooks? Why isn't everyone doing this?

I pen some small articles for a Miami based magazine that specializes in the duty free business.

I ran two of my recent articles through an AI detector and it said that more than 80% of the aricles were produced via AI

I can assure you that both were produced by me.

Does this mean that i write like a robot?

GlasgowJohn , do you mean the AI detector said 80% of each of the 2 articles you wrote were produced by AI? Did the detector give any info about how it determined which writers are human, and which are robots?

    Yes.

    No explanation whatsoever

Reminds me of the recent laughable news about Newspapers who included a list of most-read books for the summer. A publishing partner had the news include a special magazine insert which contained the list. Many of the books do not exist, and AI even wrote hallucinations to summarize each fake title.

Perhaps efficient to have AI gather the list, but very lazy to let it author the entire article, and then even lazier to not have a human editor double-check the story.

Yes, Chicago Sun-Times published AI-generated 'summer reading list' with books that don't exist
While the newspaper published the content, it originated from a company owned by magazine giant Hearst.

One of the many reasons the Sun Ztimes can’t hold a candle to the Chicago Tribune, even in its now-diminished state.

Many local newspapers around the country, including the Sun Times, try to save money by what ever relationship they have with Hearst Media. Some even owned by Hearst. That hurt them in this case.

Though I believe Sun Times has been a non-profit since being purchased by Chicago Public Media in 2019.
