Not sure If I would fancy a visit or not

But I just spotted this trip report on Flyer Talk, a travel forum that another forum member and I frequent from time to time.

Two things - Loads of photos. some are really good but my lad said last night, " Dad , If you have seen one picture of a penguin , do you need to see another?"

It's a detailed post - I would love to have the time to do something similar.

That was one of the best trip reports I've ever read. So many amazing photographs!

I'd also love to do that trip as Antarctica has always fascinated me, having read about Shackleton's incredible odyssey of survival, not to mention Captain Scott.

If I had the money, I wouldn't hesitate.

I'm a member on that forum too.

That's such a good trip report with great photos. A lot of care and work has gone into putting that together.

I read Captain Scott's Journals a year or so ago and anyone with the remotest of interest in Antarctica should read them. Whilst reading the Journals and knowing the outcome before reading, I was almost believing, even close the the end, that he completed the journey. And that was a peculiar thing. But he was an incredible man.

    Great post GlasgowJohn
