I think we all retire in various shades of grey these days. I "retired" at a fairly young age but still working.
How do I cope with ageing? By ignoring it, I guess, as it rarely crosses my mind. I suppose I just keep doing what I like to do, thinking that nothing has changed. But things do change and have changed, of course.
At a dinner party Saturday night, I was ready to leave when my husband suggested going home around 11:30. It rather shocked me when I thought about it later, as I still think of myself as the one who loves to party into the wee hours.
Very impressive to start riding a motorcycle later in life
Yes. Splinter is quite an old geezer.
I've become more of a couch potato since coming to live here. The hot summer weather is mostly to blame.
But summer is only 3 months long! 🤪

I'm Scottish.....so summer here is at least six months long!! 😁

Plus winter here is at most 6-8 weeks long. Not a single cold day or night here is even close to something uncomfortable enough to stop people from going outside.

Indeed. Outside of the summer months the weather here is ideal for outdoor activities. Just a pity the days are so short.

I would say 3-4 weeks....

Yes even on the coldest winter's day here. If the sun is out it feels more like Spring.
Over the years, we’ve experienced many really cold (at least to us) Spring days. But it’s all relative!

Yes if it's overcast and there's a wind coming from the wrong direction it can get a bit chilly. I've still got a wardrobe full of winter clothing that I've never worn since coming to live here. Mind you, in Scotland we didn't have a car so had to brave the elements much more than we do here.
