You've probably seen the news already, but this came as a shock to most, even though we knew he had been in hospital for a prostate problem. The cancer was only discovered because of that and his reaction was typical of the man - for other men to be aware and to get their prostates checked out.

But this is different and Buckingham Palace has not given any further details, but I'm sure that it will in time, bearing in mind that Charles appears to be much more open than his mother was in this respect.

It must be frightening and I hope he makes a full recovery.

I hope so too. He has had such a frustrating life, spending 75 years training for the job that he only got when beyond the age when most people have retired. And now this.

Let’s hope he responds well to treatment, and he surely will have access to the very latest medical advancements.

Given the speed at which prince Harry flew from the States to London, I am quite concerned. I had a feeling he wouldn’t reign for very long, but this is even faster than I expected.

I believe Buckingham Palace will have to make an announcement soon, to bring the people along in the process.

I agree, especially when the King seems to be so open on such matters. Perhaps they are waiting for a more definitive diagnosis.

Given his age I'm not that bothered to be honest. I'm more concerned about Kate's recent health scare.

My missus has me visiting doctors and clinics here on a regular basis. On Monday we were at her old neighbour's doctor surgery to show her our recent annual blood test results. After the missus told her all about my eating, smoking and drinking habits I was waiting to hear the worst. Maria the doc studied them took notes then turned to me and said they were perfect. Then jokingly said in English ''carry on smoking drinking ad eating wat you want!!'' just to annoy my missus. :P

She admitted she used to be a heavy smoker herself before giving it up so knows how hard it is.

Maybe I could have worded it better. He's 75 so for me anyway it's not really a surprise. Kate on the other hand is much younger with kids.

And yet she is not the King, and head of the country.

I think this meeting presents quite an endearing image of the KIng.

GB News could not be more right wing and Republican if it tried. It falls over itself to mock and of course will do anything to throw shit at Harry, whether you like him or not.

Why does Harry continue with these 'vendettas' against the press and in particular, that gutter-shite, Piers Morgan?

    Think Diana.

Is GBN connected to the Mirror Group? Surely not a top-tier journalistic organization, if they use 5 minutes of air time interviewing the King’s former butler for his professional medical insights into the Royal Family’s health and relationships -

Well that has blind-sided everyone in as much as every other possibility was speculated about but not that.

The whole thing should have been handled better and sooner though.

I wish her the best but don't understand the timing of communication about it given how toxic the speculation became

Perhaps she wanted to deliver the news herself when she was well enough to do so?

The timing is all wrong - they are hiding something.

It has taken her three months to tell her kids?

Chemotherapy with a full head of hair?

    They are full of bullshit...

I do hope she gets better but they really should treat people with more respect and tell them the truth at all times
