Thanks UK man!
Feels like too big a number already! I liked 14 more.

Wait until you get to my age!!

I’ll bet you actually enjoy 41 more than 14. Teenage years: ugh!

if only I’ll be awake to enjoy them!
Yesterday, we went at the Rosedal early in the morning as my husband went for his morning run. The park opens at 8 am and it was desert, very nice and easy to walk through, smell roses and take pictures.
Then we went home, changed to go to Escobar at a natural reserve along the Rio Luján. Having misread the website, it thought it was shorter. Instead, we walked 10 km. Minor paths and rest area were under water, so not accessible. In any case, as soon as you stopped the mosquito feast started.
Having had no breakfast by 2 pm, we headed to Los Cardales at La Pebeta, a farm to table restaurant. Mostly vegan and vegetarian vegetables, with a couple of meat option. We sat outdoor and waited for 50 minutes with the blaring musing for our order. No appetizer for the wait. We were about to leave when the food arrived (I pointed out to the waiter that we had been waiting for 50’…).
There were other birthday parties but their b-day number was lower than mine so I skipped dessert, paid, and left.
Lots of traffic on the way back to capital also because River was playing at the Monumental. My husband almost fell asleep behind the wheel 😨
As soon as we arrived home we crashed on the bed. He woke up at 8 pm, tried to wake me up but I went on until 8.30 am of the next day (today).
Boy, was I tired, I wasn’t?! 😂

Thank you all!
I had a late Doboś cake this morning at Berna by Jakub, a Slovakian cafè/restaurant in the Colegiales/Belgrano area with excellent coffee.

That cake was certainly worth waiting for! I counted 10 layers?
In New Orleans we have Doberge (pronounced almost “Dobazh”), a multi-layered cake that seems to have descended from the same Eastern Europe roots as your Doboś, serafina . If you are dreaming of another slice, this video shows dozens of colors and flavors!

Awww Rice ! I could hide there and eat all of them just for the sake of survival.

No better reason needed!
