I have been reading that on Feb 1, bus/subte/train fares will increase by 250% for those with registered SUBE cards, with a higher charge for unregistered cards. Without DNI’s, we never were able to register ours, as the form didn’t provide a field for passport numbers.

Does anyone know how we can register our card without a DNI ?

    According to the herald:

    • Enter the 16 numbers on your card, your DNI, gender, and email. Then, click on “continuar” (continue). If you do not have a DNI, you can contact the Buenos Aires City government through the contacts provided on the website.

My first SUBE card was registered using my passport number. Unfortunately, I later discovered that the system understood it was a DNI and associated it with a different person. I had to visit a SUBE location (in a Comuna), explain the issue, and they were able to fix it. But by then, I already had a DNI, so I fell back into a standard case

Thanks, aficionado . I am guessing we’ll go on a chase when we get back.

According to a post at the other place you can register your Sube card at the Sube office at Retiro station with your passport. It's annoying you can't do it online.

Good info, thanks, @Bombonera . Easy enough to go to Retiro station.

Thank you for the support!
