I am unable to search for anything right now_ everything comes up blank.

Is it my computer or is there a system problem?

I was looking for the thread discussing the new football season.

Working okay for me. Are you using the main page when searching?

    Thread

    All about football (soccer)

This very pleasant Italian lady, Diletta Leotta, was the subject of Naples football fans shouting suggestive comments at her as he was reporting on the match against Brescia.

She apparently took it in good stead and gave them the thumbs down, rather than the middle finger as she left the stadium. Perhaps the thumbs down in Italy has a stronger meaning, I don't know.

GlasgowJohn , the search function never works for me when on my phone, using safari. Are you using Chrome, and on your computer?

I just tested the search function in both Opera (my default browser) and Chrome on desktop with no problems.

I also did the same on my phone with no issues. Are you using the search box in the top right?

You could try clearing your browser cache and report back.

The reason I asked if you were using the search function on the home page was because I was caught out the other day. I was searching for something and couldn't understand why nowt came up. I then realised I was browsing a specific thread at the time and there was no way the search function would come up with a result from the word I was searching for. Then tried the home page search box and had no problem.

Ah yes, Opera. I was asking you about Opera in another thread but - to keep it on topic - I found this message by using the on-site search so I think search is all working for me.

In the other thread I was asking about the built-in VPN. First, I'm using an older Opera because my hardware/software won't automatically upgrade to the new Opera-One and secondly I've only really tried to use that VPN to disguise searches on travel websites to avoid having the prices ratcheted up each time I make a comparison. Is the Opera VPN any use for the things you were suggesting? Is there any difference in performance between the VPN in traditional Opera nd the Opera-One browser?

I've never had a problem with the search function, albeit, sometimes it does come up with multiple results at time, which can confuse me

Since sunscribing to Surfshark I haven't used Opera VPN for ages, but my recollection is that it's inefficient and very slooooooow!

Surfshark on the other hand is lightning fast and in my experience, free VPNs are exactly that - no free lunch.
