It seems that cloning champion polo ponies has become so successful in Argentina that even clubs that were initially against the practice have found they need to embrace it, in order to remain competitive. This is now a “massive, multi-million dollar business” in the country.
Who knew?
And, never having seen cheval on a menu anywhere in the country, I was very surprised to read that Argentina is one of the world’s largest exporters of horsemeat. I’d like to know more, like who imports it and is it for human food?
