General strike 24 January 2024

The CGT union have confirmed a general strike for Wednesday 24th January in protest at the government's DNU/decree.

Naturally the CGT is aligned with all those Peronist factions who want to drive this country into the ground after sucking the coffers dry and distributing free, tax payers' money as if it were confetti.

Furthermore, has anyone yet asked these crooks to produce an audit of their their union wealth or even their personal coffers? This union didn't once take to the streets when puppet Alberto was president, but now that their pigs in shit snouts in the feeding troughs lifestyle is threatened, they've all suddenly woken up in a cold sweat.

It takes a brave leader to take on the unions head to head and I can't imagine for a second that Milei didn't see this coming. It's also worth remembering that he is an admirer of Thatcher who, let's face it, was a very divisive figure, so will he take a cue from her? Let's not forget how she decimated the UK mining industry and left thousands jobless.

I just heard a woman accusing TN of being aggressive, some thugs threatening the same reporter and another woman saying that this government has to be brought down before it destroys the country.

The mindset of these people beggars belief.

I rode into Microcentro at lunchtime after the 12.00 kick off and all the roads around 9 de Julio were open with no problems, so the new measures are definitely working. I didn't go as far as Congreso because I didn't really fancy getting mixed up in the chaos.

And this is the mess that they left. No effort to clean up at all, unlike more recent gatherings by non Kakas.
