He should have stopped after the first 13 words.

Apparently Milei is saying his phrase was totally metaphorical.

I still think it was a wrong choice of words.

    Agreed.

However, Kristina and her cronies don't understand metaphors like 'inflation is just a sensation'.

I don't like this trait of Milei. Speaking one own's mind is generally a trait I appreciate, but it should be done in moderation and with the right choice of words. Otherwise it turns into inappropriate remarks, poor word choice, and vulgarities that turn it into a childish behavior --- something we can agree we don't like to see in someone who is leading a country.

This applies also to his memes and pictures on Twitter and the like, and it is not just him but also Villaruel. It was Milei's b-day recently, and she found no better picture of them two but one with a fire gun.

Not only unsophisticated but immature behavior.

Very enlightening discussion. Especially Mike Schmidt’s conversation with trump’s chief of staff, General Kelly, vis-a-vis how he reached his “fascist” conclusion.

Last Saturday, the Gay Pride was held between Plaza de Mayo and Plaza Congreso. This time, it was the first time in Argentina that the Government didn't express their support (?) for the march/parade.

Therefore, it was interpreted as the Government is against it. Provided that since Milei assumed, I have been hearing this left and right, I don't honestly see Milei doing anything against the LGBTQI+ community. I must have missed something.

Tbh, I am not expecting the Government to support or not the Gay Pride. Defending liberties, freedom, and choice, yes. But the Gay Pride?

Some pictures from the parade: https://www.infobae.com/fotos/2024/11/…orgullo-lgbtiq/

I am pro-choice on a lot of issues, but I don't see how wearing BDSM masks or walking semi-naked on Av. de Mayo is helpful in this terms of people's rights.

Your bedroom, your choice. But why take it to the street? And what would be the Government role in this?

Yes I've nowt against them either. Like many of these marches no matter what they represent I think it's more a 'look at me' thing than anything else.

Milei's state of the nation speech to Congress yesterday was highly entertaining and he grabbed every opportunity to have a go at the Kirchnerites who he described as kukas, robbing bastards, delinquents and thieves. We watched the entire 90 minute speech and thoroughly enjoyed it.

His VP, Victoria Villaruel sat behind him, unmoved, yet strangely tried to upstage him with a low-cut outfit which showed her ample cleavage and a black lacey bra, which she kept adjusting.

Here's a short resume of his speech.

I can't get used to the type of insults that Milei was hurling at the opposition, to be honest.

I wish he would explain his own programme fully, but he never seems to do that.

But I do agree that the glimpses of VV's black bra were quite interesting....

I never watched it but the missus did. She said she wished he'd stop being the clown and act like a sensible educated human being. I suggested acting an idiot probably wins him more support in Argentina. ^^

He has learned this from his role model in the USA: entertain and distract the less discerning voters instead of comparing your own campaign promises to what you have actually accomplished. Avoid accountability by loudly insulting and ridiculing your opponents.

With respect, Milei has followed through on all his campaign promises and in his speech, he detailed exactly how he intends to fulfil the rest of those promises.

As for his clownish behaviour, I would expect nothing less from him, simply because he highlights the appalling corruption of the Kukas of which we need to be reminded time and time again.

    Reduce inflation , yes.

Eliminate the fiscal deficit , yes.

These are the two big ones but there are several where he has failed.

Like eliminating the Central Bank , whIch was pretty crazy.

And replacing the peso with the USD , which wont happen

    Indeed.

There's still 1001 things that need sorted out which will require another 4 years in the job. For the sake of the country here's hoping he gets it.
