President Milei has announced that his Economy Minister will be Luis Caputo, who served as Finance Minister (and, briefly, Central Bank Manager) under former president Macri.

There won't be time for a honeymoon period because he's going to have to hit the ground running. And timebomb is the perfect description for the current mess we are in.
Also, this short time between now and 10th December could be considered a kind of early honeymoon or the calm before the storm.

Normal thinking in the rest of the world. Hopefully they will get that changed as soon as possible. Bring tax revenue into the country based on farm export profits, not from export tariffs or forcing dollar repatriation within days of export sales.

I upset the missus last night. When she said Milei would start allowing us to buy from abroad without all the hassles and penalties involved I said ''keep wishing, it won't happen and even if it does it'll be years away not months''. She told me to stop being negative.

Even under Macri, the entire process was a nightmare, so it isn't going to change in the near future.

I can imagine the retail sector will do their best to prevent it as well. They've got so used to selling crap goods at inflated prices with little or no competition.
I so wish the people here could have access to clothing that is well made,
Cardon used to sell good quality clothing at reasonable prices. However not only have their prices increased to silly amounts the quality has become poor. I used to buy a lot of clothes from there now I refuse to. Doesn't stop the missus though.
