Milei is predicting stagflation (in Spanish it's estanflacion) which is a combination of inflation and recession. Inflation will rise in the medium term with a fall in economic activity.

The word comes from inflation and stagnation, a term first used in 1965 by MP Ian Macleod.

What Is Stagflation, What Causes It, and Why Is It Bad?
Stagflation is the combination of slow economic growth, high unemployment, and a high rate of inflation.

Ugh. He’s expecting the worst of both worlds? Good thing he didn’t say that before the election.

He did predict a dire situation and didn't try to sugar-coat it, unlike Massa.

Yes he did. Perhaps just didn’t spell it out as “the economy will still be down the tubes, everything will cost more, and you won’t be able to get a job.”

This woman has no shame whatsoever.

She now says that stagflation will be a social disaster, but omits to mention that it's her government that created the situation we now find ourselves in.

She has also said that printing money is the only way out of recession, which is exactly what they have done.

That's been the problem with the K Governments over the years. She surrounded herself with yes men instead of selecting those who actually knew something about the jobs they were given. Anyone who questioned her were given their marching orders.

They all were waiting for another commodity boom to cycle back to bring money into the country. Just enough money to continue to limp along, yet make them look like economic wizards. Nestor got lucky that way. When it did not happen for the Ks they blamed it on drought and low worldwide commodities prices.

We were in Hector Walsh this afternoon to inquire the price of a trailer. The son said sorry but I can't give you a dollar price until we know what's going to happen.
