Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic has made aviation history with a transatlantic flight on a Boeing 787 fueled essentially by fat and sugar. SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) is obtained from sources like used cooking oil and agricultural waste.
The flight left London’s Heathrow, and landed yesterday afternoon at JFK, with Branson aboard.
