Can you please tell me which package forwarding company you use, how long you have been using them, has there been any problems, & roughly how much it costs for let's say 10 pounds. I know I can't give you dimensions.

Just so we are on the same page, a real package forwarding company consolidates all of the boxes into one box & they don't tape every box together with tape, paper & plastic wrap. That's what I go through here in Mexico.

Please tell you have one. I already emailed 3 that someone gave me and no one ever responded back. :(

I just looked at the shipping & imports on Amazon & NO THANKS. $65 to ship a small bottle of shampoo if I were to test it. SMH

    Thanks

Argentina is not the place to get packages from abroad. They will get stuck in custom and you will be asked to pay about as much as the item cost itself in customs, or worse you will be denied to import it at all.

Also my past experience with any package from abroad.

Even if it eventually makes it here many months later you'll have to go to Buenos Aires and queue for ages to collect it, not before shelling out more money to get it released. The whole process is third world and farcical.

I suspect that's the reason the OP never heard back from any of the companies they contacted.

Here are a few links for companies who can handle imports for you, mainly involved in them buying for you and importing from China, I believe.

    I've never tried them myself.

I should add when the MIL was the Spanish Vice Consul for the area she could receive parcels from abroad at the consul address no problem at all. Soon as the Kirchners got in that was all stopped and any parcel sent from abroad was withheld and not released without her having to pay a 'fine'.

She was a very nice lady but even she said they were ''money grabbing bastards''!! ^^

UK Man , isn’t that the position that your wife holds now? Is it a hereditary post?

She does indeed. As for keeping it in the family...noone else would be daft enough considering you get bugger all for doing it. They don't even contribute a single peso towards your internet or phone bill.

Yes! Excellent idea. I’m sure he’d be receptive.

I told the missus to pack it in. Since the effects of Covid which resulted in the the main one in Buenos Aires only having a skeleton staff she's had nothing but hassle from folk phoning her up looking for info. 75% of whom don't even come under her jurisdiction.

I had a chat with Felipe in a bar in Puerto portals in Mallorca about 20 years ago.

I am not too sure he will remember me , but I did offer to buy him a beer.
