No, for the both of us.

Although that is low compared to insurance costs here, it sounds a lot higher than in Argentina even a short time ago.

Ours is around US$600 per month for both of us with Swiss Medical, bearing in mind that we're both over 60.
We're going to have to take it down several levels.

I haven't a clue what ours costs exactly but the wife has been moaning about it for months. She did say the other day it's to come down.

My sister in law switched to SanCor Salud and she pays around $60.

But can you switch if you're over a certain age?

It's strictly against the law. But by the time you win the court case you will be suffering from extreme stress.

Or migrate back to the UK where it's free and much less hassle.

We use Swiss Medical and considering what we pay every month, we're determined to get as much out of them as we can when needed.
I have an infected tooth, it's loose and needs to come out. It's also quite painful so I went to a dentist in Martinez, she examined it and gave me a prescription for antibiotics and anti inflammatory pills. I'll be going back for an x-ray, but in the meantime they can't extract the tooth until 18th November, ffs! Fully booked.
Considering I need to kill the infection which takes a week of antibiotics, I have to have it extracted next week, so it looks like I'll either have to pay to get it done or find another Swiss Medical dentist that doesn't have a waiting list.
I also need replacement teeth, probably with implants, but those are not covered by insurance.
This is a real pain in the rear and other places!
