Tremendous news, if true and if it happens.
Are you UK members not currently able to vote at home?

Nada de nada.
We dont count any more ....thats why this is a small light in along tunnel.

Indeed. Which surprised my missus as she gets to vote in the Spanish election from here. This'll mean she can now vote in three elections.
At what point do British expats lose the right to vote?

Soon as you no longer have a UK address I suppose. Pretty sure the armed forces and other Brits posted to work abroad by the Government are allowed a postal vote though.
Does anyone remember who stopped us voting?
I have been away since 1990 , and wasn't able to vote after that.
Not too sure its just the address , as I have always had a postal address.
I’m quite partial to this, because there are millions of people holding an Italian passport who are allowed to vote in Italian elections even if they don’t speak the language nor have ever lived there, nor paid any taxes in Italy ever.
A huge expense, a voting system prone to scams, and also an injustice toward foreigners living and residing in Italy who have zero right to vote (nor even in local elections).
The only consolation is that the vote from abroad only counts toward electing a handful of candidates (11) representing five main regions (North and central America, South America, Africa + Asia + Oceania, and of course Europe). Still, they get live in Italy… often themselves have never lived in Italy before.
I hope the UK is able to implement a fairer system. I’ll be closely looking!

No idea I assumed it's always been that way. Maybe you've got to register the UK address to get a vote. You'd have to fly back to vote right enough.
