The elections may or may not interest you.
But remember, as the government thinks we are irresponsible it will not be possible to buy alcohol from Saturday 8pm until after the polls close on Sunday.
So start stocking up , before you forget!

Is that just carry-outs from shops?
I bought my rum early with free delivery.
I stocked up on beer, too!

What type?
My usual red. My favorite blonde was out of stock. They said it would be back on Saturday but now that there is the alcohol ban for the elections, I am not even sure they will be able to sell it.

Which brand?
In amongst the humour of it, it’s a good point! I know other countries do the same too. Thailand for example.
Maybe it would actually be better if Argentines were plastered when they vote. It couldn’t be any worse than when they’re sober.

Indeed.

Bars and restaurants as well
Which brand?
I buy it from a local brewery. Bronson Brewery. they make it two blocks from here.
Bars and restaurants as well
I take it you can still have a drink in them though?
I wouldn’t count on it. For our part, we’re going to get on a train, throw a dart on where to get off, roam about the countryside, and see if we can find anyone who will invite us to an asado.
Let’s hope there’s no balotaje.

A choripan is an excellent idea!

No drinks at all in brars and restaurants after 8pm Saturday.
You can only drink at home.

Bloody hell! I always assumed the ban was just for carry outs.
We learned years ago, not to waste our time going to a restaurant on Saturday night or all day Sunday. Bummer.
So I take it we'll be banned from purchasing booze again when the run off between Mungo and Midge takes place?
You are supposed to drink heavily before and after, though!
Maybe it is just another trick to play with the economy? As soon as 6 PM was approaching last Saturday, I went back to the brewery to buy more beer. The lady look at me in an odd way "Weren't you here before?" and I told her "I am not a drunkard, I just can't stand the idea that you can't buy booze when you want!"

I must say that to my missus.....cheers.
