    Everyone should have taken advantage of the free signups to get the extra year with windows 10 updates until October 2026. Now the clock is ticking and Linux is a perfectly reasonable solution, possibly more for complete novices than other people. Those who have specific business needs might require some time to adjust though most solutions are available.

    Gentoo works like a charm on my old PC's!!! It is not a bloated install of Linux, unlike Linux Mint and Ubuntu!!!!

    The best bet is to try Linux Mint, set it up on a pen drive, boot from it and try the live version which doesn't install anything on your PC. It's like a trial to see if you like it.

    This is one of the less annoying tutorials, lol.
