Today Telecentro came to install Internet at the new apartment and we were offered a good deal on the faster connection (1000 Mpbs), especially given the rampant dollar exchange. I have run a test while the technician was still here and the speed was about 400 Mbps. He said to give it 24 hours and if it wasn't up to speed to call to file a claim. He said sometimes it is due to the building cables.

After a few hours it has increased to close to 700 Mpbs. I am on Wifi, as well. The modem-router has a Wifi 6 antenna.

I get 53.7 Mbps download and 13.9 upload and in the UK that's considered fast.

I'm shocked you can get that in Argentina, I had no idea. The fastest broadband I ever experienced was in Taipei but it was a long time ago and don't recall the figures.

I'm surprised that the UK is lagging behind other nations with this but we are.

The best part is that it is less than 10 USD a month.

The one we have at home I believe is 300 Mbps, and we have a router and a mesh device, so the speed decreases considerably.

The wifi was rather unstable at the other apartment today, but it happens the same even in our home. I restarted the modem and it improved considerably. I want to do more testing in the next days.

I pay $40 (USD) per month for 300Mbps. I peak at around 370Mbps on a regular basis.
My ISP is Spectrum in a small town in Wisconsin, US.
    Not too shabby, I think.

I wanted to install a mesh in our apartment because it is on two levels and there are some places where there was no signal. My husband insisted that Telecentro mesh was enough.

    This is the result:

Today I am back in Hollywood and I brought with me an Ethernet cable to test the Internet speed again. A whopping 800+ Mpbs, while Wireless (sitting next to the router), was about half Maybe I should install a powerline in the apartment. I will try to see if the TP Link range extender can improve this a bit.

Yeah, the max a wifi 6 can do is something like 600mbps, which is why you see two different speeds

That's probably the reason why. Thank you! I hadn't considered that. My Macbook Air has Wifi 6

You get way better speeds than in the UK. I don't think the speeds you can get there are available from any UK provider at all.

There are some that provide 1Gbps, its just dependent on the area where it is available

Today I bought a Cat 6 Ethernet cable since our first guest booked specifically to be able to film and upload videos at fast speed. This is the test result! Amazing!

Your first guest is lucky! He didn’t know he was renting from a technical whiz!
