It's probably a bit early to mention Christmas, but we all know how fast it descends upon us once October is over.

For the past 19 years we've spent Christmas Eve at the same house with the same people and same routine, so I've just put my controversial bid in to host it at our house for the first time - shock horror!

I like change and I need different environments and I don't mind upsetting the apple cart, even though it's risky, but what the hell.

I even suggested doing some choripans, the very suggestion of which was met with "We don't do those on Noche Buena, only New Year's Eve."

    The horror!

    :yay:

Why not go all in for change, starting with sending invitations to all, and rebranding the gathering as the “Noche Buena of 2023?”

Then do absolutely EVERYTHING differently, from assigned seating (no spouses together) or NO seating - - just mingling while standing, cocktail-party style? Choripan with beer, cheese with wine?

    Our bid was successful!

We are to host Christmas 2023, even though the vote was somewhat muted.

Can you conceal cameras in the bookcase and kitchen?

Was this taken in Galeria Pacifico? I have never really bought pines in full summer. It just feel faker than a fake xmas tree when it's 30+C outside.

@Bombonera , I’m so glad you posted the GP Christmas tree photo! We always love going to see it and it had completely slipped my mind. It should be going up in just a couple of weeks.

    Well done...

We're not really party people so would never ever offer to host one. It'll be just us and the pets at Christmas.

Not generally a fan of fake snow flocked Christmas trees, I’m surprised that I rather like this one, with the Galería Pacifica murals as background. Will wait until December to go see it, since this feels so early.

I used to look forward to Christmas in the UK but can't be arsed with it here to be honest.

The only plus about it here is being able to have a BBQ without fear of getting frostbite!! ^^
