If you’re looking for used books, this should be fun!

I wish you’d been in the car boot sale business when we gave away our Argentina library 4 years ago!

One of Adri's friends' father died and she came over from Tampa to sell the house and do a clearance. Adri came away with boxes of books, maybe 200, so that's us done for a while.

When I cleaned out my house last year in Spain, I tried to give away 700 books.

    No joy.

Six charity shops all told me the same story. No One wants books anymore.

Managed to bring 50 here to Escobar.

Argentines are big readers, they buy and sell books, and there are hundreds of new and second hand book shops.

I used to be a member and regular visitor to my local library back in the UK. However I suspect the last time I read a book was over 25 years ago. I don't really miss it to be honest.

I always need a book at hand, particularly at bed time. Helps me nod off!

When I was single that was my daily bed time routine.....then the internet came along and that was the end of that.

I've tried eBooks/Kindle but it's just not the same as holding it in your hand, so to speak.

Completely agree, Splinter . I love physically turning pages, flipping back to a passage whose location in the book I remember, and just holding the book.

UK Man , can you go to sleep immediately after reading things on the internet? I find my brain wakes up. History books? Instant Ambien.

I'm usually knackered anyway. So yes, I can more or less get to sleep straight away even when the missus is watching telly. Staying asleep in the morning is my problem.

No, never really been one for staying up into the wee small hours.
