I too like the Dublin accent. I also love to listen to folk from the Hebrides....the English they speak has a very pleasing lilt to it.
As for the Glaswegian accent....I thought my wife would struggle understanding it during her years there. However apart from the odd slang word she didn't encounter many problems.

I think a Glaswegian accent must be easier for non-native English speakers to understand than it is for native English speakers!
Curious: why the name Geordie?
It's a nickname for people of Newcastle, or as I call that city, Newscastle.......I have no idea why I call them that
I once had a girlfriend in Liverpool and lovely though she was, she wasn't keen on the niceties of refined language, shall we say.
