Sure, we're all pissed off about inflation and shit politicians, but Argentines remain stoically happy because they've been through all this crap several times before. Heck, even I'm not miserable, which is saying something

It’s that time of year again. This year, Argentina wins the top spot, fueled by the misery index’s very limited parameters:
“Argentina’s HAMI = [(Unemployment (6.5%) * 2) + Inflation (211.4%) + Bank‐Lending Rate (95.9%)] − Real GDP Growth (-1.5%) = 321.8”
The medicine that Argentine voters have decided to take, in order to turn around the ailing economy, is indeed harsh. But it is for a positive objective.
Most important, this is based solely on the 4 numerical values listed above. Were other factors considered, I sincerely doubt that Argentina’s people are feeling more misery than, say, Ukraine’s people, listed at #17, with “unemployment” shown as their main problem?
The National Review should be embarrassed.
Let's hope they don't retain the title next year.
As for inflation......the missus has yet to be convinced it's slowing down. She says someone must have forgotten to tell the health insurance company!!
