Splinter , your excellent travel accounts definitely do NOT make me want to go by motorbike - - too much weather-related anxiety, not to mention Numb Bum Syndrome. But your Day 8 report does make me curious about Azul, with its colonial buildings. And I’d have to stay in the Grand Hotel (but I would need to ask Adri to make the hotel reservations!)
Azul is a very pleasant town and the sort of place I'd take Adri for a nice weekend away.
In the car though, as she would never get on the bike!
